SPACE HEATERS

Wall heaters are heating units that are installed in or attached directly to a wall. They are most commonly used in studio apartments, compact living spaces and smaller offices, because they generate a good amount of heat suitable for keeping small areas warm, yet don’t take up any valuable floor space.

Power-Vented Wall Furnace

Empire Heating Systems Wall Furnace zone generates heat and draws its return air from the same room. This eliminates forced air movement into other rooms. You keep the warmth just where you want it.

Vent-Free Room Heaters

Empire Vent-Free systems draw room air to support combustion in a clean burning blue-flame or radiant-plaque system. Rated at 99.9 percent efficient, vent-free heaters release nearly all of the available heat energy into the room.

Blue Flame Heaters

Blue Flame Heaters - Our  Empire Blue Flame heaters warm the air, which rises to create natural circulation in the room. Ideal for any supplemental heat application. A blue flame colour means complete combustion. This means that the gas is being burned efficiently without any unburned and wasted gas.

Infrared Heaters

Infrared Heaters - Our  infrared heaters project warmth into the room like sunlight. Empire Heating Systems models produce an infrared “radiant” heat that instantly adds warmth to you and objects in the room. Space-saving efficiency and convenient top-mounted controls add radiant heat to your smaller rooms.  They are silent and very energy efficient.

Empire Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces

Direct-Vent systems mount on an outside wall and have a vent-within-a-vent system to draw in outdoor air to support combustion and exhaust flue products to the outdoors. The vent cap installs on the outside wall of the home. Because they do not draw your already heated room air to support combustion, Direct-Vent systems are among the most efficient of the vented heaters. A Direct-Vent system may be installed as your home’s primary heating system.

Direct-Vent Counter Flow Wall Furnaces - These can be recessed between standard wall studs and can be installed on an outside wall. Will provide total comfort for a fraction of the cost of electric heat. Matchless pushbutton piezo ignition for manual operation; works with optional thermostats or another remote control. Front panels remove for cleaning and servicing. Counterflow design circulates warm air at floor level.

High-Efficiency Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces - Advanced technology makes these heaters more than 80% efficient  Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. These units are ideal for heating basements, family rooms or several small rooms.

Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces - Whether you need to heat a single room or an entire home, DM Solutions carries the Empire Direct-Vent Furnaces to suit your needs. Specifically designed for areas where flues or chimneys are not available or cannot be used. Removable front panels for easy cleaning and servicing. Uses outside air to support combustion. Inside air is warmed as it recirculates around a sealed chamber. This warm air heats the room cleanly and efficiently.

Panel Heater

Both electric panel heaters and oil filled radiators give off both types of heat, but panel heaters tend to give off more convective heat, while oil filled radiators give off a little more radiant heat. Think about how you’re going to be using your heater before you make a decision.

Electric Panel Heaters

Electric panel heaters warm up very quickly, giving you instant heat when you need it most. It's an excellent option for spaces that are only used once in a while. If you have a studio where you craft or play music, for instance, you don't want to wait for the room to warm up while your inspiration wanes.

These versatile units can be freestanding or wallmounted. With their slim design, they can fit in spaces many other heating options cannot.

Electric Radiators

Radiant heating is more efficient than convection because the heating is direct. These radiators are built to last, with fewer moving parts and therefore requiring less maintenance. These are a great option for those with dust allergies as they don't blow the air.

Space Heater Safety

Empire wall-mounted units have high heat output with low surface temperatures. Other  space heaters can reach temperatures of up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes Empire products far safer than many portable heaters both as a burn risk and for fire safety.

Our licensed technicians will not only guide you to the best solution for your needs, space, and budget, but will educate you on the safety requirements of your selected heater.

How Much Electricity Does a Space Heater Use?

The watt rating of your space heater is how many watts of electricity it uses per hour. You have options for units with one heat setting and those with multiple heat settings. Single-setting space heaters are usually 1500W, but you’ll find smaller ones from 200W to 1000W power.

Space Heater Maintenance

Different space heaters have different maintenance requirements and our technicians will educate you on the necessary maintenance for your unit. In general, it is very important to clean your space heater and keep it free of dust and pet fur for both safety and efficiency.
